BTC -2.4% · ETH -2.7% · SOL -3.1% · $145M liquidated (76% longs) · top mover WBT +13%
Ringside, folks. The crypto prizefight of the day is in the books. The bulls, or what's left of them, took a brutal beating. The bears unleashed a flurry of punches, sending Bitcoin down 2.4%, Ethereum 2.7%, and Solana 3.1% in the red.
Meanwhile, the judges declared $145 million in liquidations, with the longs taking the brunt of it – 76% of the damage. The crowd jeered as the top gainers, WBT and NEAR, tried to steal the show with a +13% and +3% respectively. JST, the underdog, managed a +2% in a valiant effort. But the real story was the carnage: DEXE, HYPE, and M took a hit, with DEXE getting knocked out with a -10% loss.
The referees, aka lawmakers, were busy in the corner, discussing crypto tax bills – a work-in-progress, to say the least. Binance, meanwhile, was throwing haymakers, pulling in $400 million in its first week of US stock-trading. But in the end, it was the bears who won the day.
